Utah Trip!

I got to go to Utah with Amberlee over the Martin Luther King weekend! I was excited to be in Utah! We left for Utah on Friday morning after I picked up my paycheck at work. We arrived there in Utah around 5 or so. We stopped at a hotel where Amberlee was staying at then I drove myself to the Golden Corral to meet with Michelle and her family for dinner. Then went to a house and played Pictionary Wii game with Michelle's family. Not a great game... I prefer the board game. Then I went over to my Uncle and Aunt's house in Orem to spend the weekend. It was great to see my Uncle and Aunt. It was great to be in Utah. On Saturday, I got to go to the BYU Bookstore and stopped at the mall. I went back to the house and spent time with my Uncle and Aunt. We went to Target before I drove back to the BYU Campus to meet up with my cousin Molly. We went bowling in a basement at BYU. It was fun. Then Molly and her friend showed me around the BYU Campus. Oh man! It is a BIG Campus. We walked and walked! :) I got to see fish tanks, museums, a little grove, and an art museum. Then I had to leave and drive to Kearns, Utah which is close to Slat Lake City to attend Michelle and Russell's reception. I got to see my friends, Ducky, Jakey Cakey, and Amberlee. Good time... Then I left to drive back to my Uncle and Aunt's house. I survived the freeway! Crazy! I was nervous about it but I made it by myself. :) I watched some T.V. Shows with my Uncle and Aunt before going to bed. On Sunday, I got to attend a deaf ward in Provo. I was surprised to see that there were not many people like the last time a few years ago. Maybe it was because of the holiday but who knows?  I enjoyed the Sacrament meeting. As it was over, a guy came up to me and talked to me. Turned out that he is the bishop of a YSA deaf ward at another church later that day! So he invited me to go. I was excited about it. He seems to be a nice bishop! Then I continued on to Sunday School and R.S. I got to meet a few people and they told me about YSA deaf ward, too! :) I really enjoyed the time there at the family deaf ward. Then I went over to the single deaf ward. There were a lot of people there. It was an interesting ward! The singles ward had deaf singles, Chinese speaking singles and Spanish speaking singles so there were people translating in sign language, Chinese and Spanish! Wow! I really loved this ward. I had fun in Sunday School. You should have seen the guy teaching and how he acted! Haha! We got to play a Jeopardy game. I also enjoyed R.S. I got to meet some people there and they were nice. It was a great ward! I went back to Uncle and Aunt's house for the day. I helped my Aunt with dinner and we talked some on paper. Then we had dinner and then some cheesecake for desert! Yum! Then we rested a bit then we went over to Uncle Mel's house in Pleasent Grove. It was great to see him and his family. I felt bad that I didn't talk much to my Uncle. But I talked him a bit about YSA deaf ward and some of my news. Then I played a game of UNO with my little cousins. Then we left to go back to the house. We were going to watch the movie, Johnny Lingo, but it turned out that there was no captioning. So we decided to play games. I got to teach them how to play Ripple. My Uncle is funny. He wants to win but I beat him. :) At first, we were going to play up to 100 points but it was taking forever. So my Uncle said to stop at 10:00pm. I was winning so my Uncle changed it to 100 points instead of stopping at 10pm! :) It was a close game but I won! And he got bad points which was my fault. I don't want him to win so I finished early with some points. :) I'm evil but we had a lot of fun! Then we went to sleep. On Monday, I got up and went to have some breakfast. I was surprised to find out that they were gone to work on a holiday! So I got ready and drove to Provo to check out the ice skating place. Then I just drove around in Provo. I drove around and noticed a building that looked familiar that I had learned about a few weeks ago. It was the Provo Tabular Building. So I stopped and walked to look at the building. It was ruined by the fire a few weeks ago but the building is still standing. There were some guys working there taking stuff out of the building with their machines and putting them on the grass along with those big black ruined piles.
Then I went back to my car and I noticed a car close to my car. Someone who was definitely a huge BYU fan... Weird but cool... I guess.
Then I drove a little more in the Historcial Downtown Provo area before going back to the ice skating place to ice skate. The Olympics were held there a few years ago so it was pretty cool. I had a good time ice skating. I got to meet a girl named Autumn. She knew and is learning sign language so we got to talk a bit and ice skate. It was a bit of a challenge to sign while ice skating! :)
When it was over, I went over to Cold Stone for some ice cream before going back to Uncle and Aunt's house to get my stuff. I had a hard time getting the front door to unlock with the keys! Thankfully, I remembered the password to open the garage but no idea how to close it while I'm inside so I hurried and got my stuff and left a note. Then closed the garage and put my baggage in my car. Then I drove to pick up Amberlee at her brother's house. We didn't want to leave Utah. So we stopped at D.I. and texted Michelle to see if she wanted to see us before we left, but she was in a meeting at work. We stopped at Wendy's for an early dinner, also stopped at a gas station close to Salt Lake City. While we were at the gas station, Amberlee noticed a painting thing a few blocks away and told me about it. So we went over there and took some pictures. It was a good one. :)
Then we drove all the way home to Nevada. Boo... I had a great time in Utah. It was fun and I can't wait to go back!
