An Encounter

One day in October when I was in SLC at the City Creek Mall, I decided to go in a different way to my car so I went. As I was walking down the sidewalk across from the Salt Lake City Temple enjoying the crisp Autumn Day, I was looking down then I felt something so I looked up. I saw a man looking right into my eyes and I was very surprised but kept my eyes on his! It wasn't usual for me to keep eye contact. But I did for some reason. The man was giving me a very bold look and it was confidence. I was a bit shocked but I just simply decided to smile at him and said hi to him! Then he smiled back as we walked by each other. As we walked by each other, I said to myself that he looks familiar for some reason. A few seconds later, I told myself no way and it is definitely an apostle! I felt so bad that I didn't recognize him at first as I looked around to look for him again and he was with a stranger shaking hands. Unbelievable… :) I had to figure out who it was and found it was Elder  Russell M. Nelson as I had to google on my iPhone. I felt a bit guilty. But at the same time, I am really grateful for this experience. I really hope I did make his day by saying hi and smiling at him! But who knows? It's amazing how through the holy spirit we can communicate to each other and how we can touch each other. It was a neat experience for me and how my heart felt so lightened up as we looked at each other as we walked. It's amazing… :)
