The first two days we were in Utah it rained some but it was still nice weather! We saw a double rainbow on Wednesday and Thursday both!
On Thursday morning, I finally got to see all of my families that were there at Uncle Mel's house in Pleasant Grove. It was great to see everyone! I got to meet my cousin Mel and Becky's daughter, Anastasia and Landon and my cousin Kiera's daughter, Tylee. In the afternoon, we went to the High School parking lot where my Uncle Mel set off parachutes and spiders into the sky so the kids had fun chasing and catching the parachutes and the spiders as they come down. Thursday night, most of us girls went over to my Uncle Gary and Aunt Annie's house in Lindon for my cousin Emily's baby shower. We played a couple of games. The first game we played is where we had to cut a string the length we thought Emily's stomach was. Grandma won the game. We had to memorize the baby items that were on the floor for a couple of minutes before they were taken away. Then we wrote down the items that we could remember. I only got seventeen items... I lost by one item! My Aunt Monica won by remembering eighteen items. Then we guessed how many pieces of candies there were in a jar, my Aunt Nadine won. It was lots of fun and a great night! I'm glad that I got to stay at Uncle Mel's house instead of going back to the hotel with my family. We did more fun things at night!
On Friday, we all went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It is a pretty temple. It looks small on the outside but inside... Wow! There are four stories, I believe... It's really gorgeous inside. I love seeing the temples! They all are wonderful and beautiful temples. There were two things in the temples that I especially love. The Mirror- It is amazing to look at. It reminds me of eternity. I can be with my family forever. I can be with my future husband and children for eternity. It is just cool to look at. The Celestial Room- It is my most favorite room in the temples. They are the most wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous rooms to be in. I just love being in the Celestial Room. I have wonderful feelings in the Celestial Room. It also reminds me of Heaven. One interesting fact that I learned about the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is that the exterior stones were imported from China. Cool, huh?
Mom ordering foods for us...
Then at night, Uncle Mel put on a firework show in front of his house for us to watch which he has been doing for some years when we come together for July 4th. It was an enjoyable night.
After watching the fireworks, we watched my crazy cousin Miles playing with fire! He learned how from his Tongan leader when he was in Young Men's. Looks fun! :)
Saturday was the fun day for me! We all went up to the Provo Canyon for the afternoon. The weather was so nice! Except I was sunburned! I played baseball, flag football and frisbee with my relatives. I even scored a touchdown! Sweet! :) It was tons of fun!
Some waterfalls on our way back...
At night, we celebrated the 4th of July! We played with some sparklers and watched some little tanks going off and a bit of fireworks. Later that night, I did something INSANE! When I went to the balcony from the living room, I saw my Uncle Mel helping someone go onto the roof. With no thought, I asked him if I could go up. So I went up on the roof and climbed up to the top. It was a pretty steep roof! I had to calm myself two times while I was up there. But it was pretty cool to watch fireworks from the roof. The fireworks were all over the cities and Utah Lake. It was pretty amazing.
